What is a cable carrier?

Cable carrier (also referred to as energy chain, cable chain, e-chains or cable drag chains) are mechanical machine elements. They play a crucial role in guiding and safeguarding cables and hoses on moving machinery. They prevent tangling, damage from debris, and contact with the machine itself. By using cable carriers, you can extend the service life of both the cables and the machine. Any application involving moving machinery and constant repetitive motion stands to benefit from a cable carrier system. These systems find typical applications in machine tools, woodworking machinery, palletizers, automated robots, cleanrooms, and ship-to-shore cranes.
