Linear retraction system - RSEL and RSSL

Up to 350mm retraction length based on elastomer bands (RSEL) or tension springs (RSSL)

Avoid loops forming on the robot head with the RSEL or RSSL retraction system. The two systems have been specifically designed for automotive production for robots with medium to high working loads. The compact dimensions of the system and the close guidance of the e-chain® on the robot also reduce the working area of the robot to a minimum.

Product information on the RSEL & RSSL

RSEL RSSL product photo
  • Compared to the RSE linear, the retraction system is even more cost-optimised
  • Due to its standard dimensions and the very compact design, the RSEL and RSSL retraction system can be installed directly on the 3rd axis of all common robot types
  • Easy to retrofit
  • Prevents the hanging
    e-chain® from influencing or
    blocking movement
  • Can also be used in highly dynamic applications
  • Short type of up to 656mm
  • For robots with high and medium payloads
  • The fixed end of the e-chain® is freely selectable due to the linear design

Dimensions RSEL & RSSL

Dimension A, B and C changes according to the selected chain size index.
Both systems are available in sizes  60, 65, 70, 85 and 100

The difference between TR.RSEL and TR.RSSL

The TR.RSEL and the TR.RSSL do not differ in dimensions or appearance. The big difference lies inside the systems. Learn what it is and the reason for it.

TR.RSEL x-ray black The part no. TR.RSEL.60 stands for triflex® (TR) and R(etraction) S(ystem) E(lastic) L(inear) in the chain size 60
With this system, the retraction force is achieved via elastomer bands, which ensures a smooth and consistent retraction force.
The elastomer bands have already proven their worth in the TR.RSE, its big and longer brother, and have been adopted in the TR.RSEL, a shorter and therefore also more cost-effective solution.

Instead of the elastomer bands, the retraction force is implemented via spring elements. The use of springs makes them more independent of oil or oil vapours, which could possibly have an influence on the elastomer bands due to the many different compositions. If oil or oil vapours do not play a role in your application, we recommend the TR.RSEL due to its smoother operation.
