OFF-LINE configurator for the Geneva 2019 showroom

Choosing a vehicle from the SUPERSPORT category takes time and it is not advisable to rush your choice. Therefore, the company ARTEO CZ s.r.o. based in the Czech Republic has created an offline configurator. Even in today's over-technologized and online-driven times, there are good reasons for this type of presentation. The curved drylin® W rails from igus® were used for the offline configurator. The desired configuration can be created very quickly by simply turning it.

Problem

The Czech company ARTEO CZ s.r.o. wanted to create a configurator for the Geneva 2019 showroom so that interested parties could easily configure the vehicles on site. The goal of the company was to create an offline configurator instead of an online configurator. ARTEO was looking for a system in which the rings can be rotated. The rings needed to be small in size, variable, lubrication-free and maintenance-free. Moreover, the offline configurator should allow for smooth and silent movements.

Solution

ARTEO relies on the curved drylin® W rails from igus® so that the offline configurator works smoothly and without lubrication and maintenance. Each independent rotating ring is an optional parameter of the vehicle. This includes the choice of body colour, the material and colour of the seats or the interior trim. With the curved drylin® W rails the offline configurator can be easily turned and the desired configuration can be created. The company says the curved drylin® W rails made this possible. Small dimensions of the pledger, which make it possible to reduce the size and thus the weight of the rings to a minimum. The sliding elements ensure smooth and easy rotation.
